Odeon of Herodes Atticus

The Odeon of Herodes Atticus, more widely known as Herodion, is an ancient conservatory of the Roman period, located on the southwestern slope of the Acropolis of Athens. It was built at a rapid pace at the expense of Herod of Atticus during the 2nd century AD, in honor of Aspasia's wife Annias Rigillis. Today it is used as a concert venue with a capacity of 5000 spectators.
