National Archaeological Museum
The largest museum in Greece and one of the most important in the whole world, it includes more than 20,000 masterpieces, which make up a complete picture of the ancient Greek culture, from the beginnings of prehistory to late antiquity. It has, among other things, the rare collection of prehistoric antiquities with the impressive findings of the royal tombs of Mycenae, one of the most important collections of sculptures in the world, vases, micro-artifacts, and the only collection of Egyptian and Eastern antiquities in Greece. It is housed in the impressive neoclassical building of the 19th century and is only a 5-minute walk from our hotel.
